Some of our projects are gorgeous and catch people’s attention, like downtown streetscapes, parks, and aquatic centers. Others live behind-the-scenes and go unnoticed. (When’s the last time you’ve thought about drainage systems and wastewater treatment facilities?) One thing that holds true no matter what the project may be is this: OUR WORK MAKES LIVES BETTER.
We could go on and on about the impact our projects have on the communities we all work, live, and play in. It’s what fuels our fires and motivates us to make each project even better.
When you walk into our offices, there’s a buzz. There’s an energy throughout the space that comes from people constantly collaborating on projects together. Our offices are set up bullpen style. You have your own sitting/standing space in an open-concept layout that allows for team members to pull up a chair and work together when needed.
The floor to ceiling windows encourage the sun to pour into our industrial-style office buildings. The kitchen welcomes members to take breaks together, and the back patio gives Joe the perfect space to grill for everyone. We’ve come to learn that fostering a culture of community and teamwork is the key to both our company’s and employees’ successes.
Did we mention both office buildings are located in gorgeous downtown areas that are within walking distance to eateries and recreation? It’s the best!
In the world of engineering companies, we are one of the small guys, and we like it that way. It means we can give our clients personal attention, make decisions without much red tape, and one of the best things of all: develop great relationships with our fellow team members.
Our leadership team believes in getting everyone out of the office for a little team-building and a lot of laughs. When we connect outside of the office, we build trust and rapport within our team that leads to even stronger collaborations when we’re back at work.
Look for us at the annual Media One Funski. We’ll be the team having the most fun crafting our snow sculpture. If you see us cruising around Downtown Sioux Falls on the Sip N’ Cycle, give us a honk and a wave, and carry on.
