Project Description
Stockwell Engineers, Inc. has been the civil engineer on a number of different site projects for POET in a number of different capacities. The sites for these individual plants vary in size from approximately 80 acres up to 270 acres. Stockwell has provided topographic, boundary, and ALTA survey services. In addition, SEI provided project specifications and construction documents. Other services included preparation of site specific drainage studies, along with extensive earthwork analysis to accommodate and facilitate both on-site and off-site drainage through the use of underground storm sewer facilities, open channel ditches, and detention facilities.

Additional utility elements include the design of new water systems including both domestic and fire protection services, sanitary sewer lines, septic tank and leach field systems, and storm sewer and sanitary sewer lift stations.

In addition, plant designs include the design of the site layout, as well as asphalt pavement and gravel surfacing sections, not only for the plant site itself, but also for adjacent county/township roads when required. SEI also provided the layout and design for the railroad track plans for various loop track and side-track configurations to meet the needs of the plant. Rail design requires SEI to be familiar with several different rail road company standards.
