Project Description
This 132 acre single-family residential development located in Brandon, South Dakota will provide the rapidly growing City of Brandon with an additional 276 residential lots. The site design by Stockwell Engineers, Inc. included grading for the entire 132 acres resulting in over one million cubic yards of earthwork that will be done in phases over the next several years. This development consists of a nice variety of available lots. The southern reaches of the development consist of smaller lots for homes under $200,000 and gradually increase as you travel up north through the development until you find the sprawling executive lots. Stockwell Engineers worked closely with the Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad to design the public utilities that serve the development under the existing railroad along the southern edge of the development. An intricate water main system was also needed to serve the upper reaches of the development. The dramatic relief of the property required the installation of a high-pressure waterline and construction of a booster station to ensure the adequate pressure be maintained in all residences. This neighborhood is filling up fast and future phases are currently underway to keep up with the demand for lots in this growing community.
