Surveying

The team at Stockwell can provide a variety of surveying services for your needs. We have experience and expertise in the following areas:

Boundary Surveys

When starting a project, the surveyor conducts research of the property to understand its legal description and determine where its legal property lines are on the ground. Property easements are also researched at this time.

ALTA Surveys

We provide ALTA surveys for sites prior to or after construction is complete. We have completed ALTA surveys on apartment buildings, ethanol plants, hospitals and clinics, hotels, restaurants, and senior living facilities.

Topographic Surveys

Our surveyors create detailed site surveys of existing sites showing all above and below ground features. This information is then taken from the field to the office and using AutoCad Civil 3D, the collected data is used to create a 3D map of the site. Engineers are then able to use this information to layout new features on the site.

Route Design Surveys

Our surveyors provide extensive surveys of the existing and proposed routes to help the engineers get a clear understanding of the existing conditions of the site. These surveys help them better understand and assess the needs of the project for future route design.

Hydrographic Surveys

Hydrographic surveying of large bodies of water requires highly trained personnel and a serious commitment to technology and equipment. Our personnel utilize GPS positioning in conjunction with our survey grade fathometers to complete many of our surveys. Our crews also use Acoustic Doppler Current Profile (ADCP) equipment to complete velocity and discharge surveys on rivers and streams of all sizes.

Construction Staking

Our survey team has an extensive knowledge of many aspects of construction staking. Our team has the ability to interpret the construction plans and mark the location of proposed new structures such as roads or buildings. This ensures that the project is being built according to the engineering design plans.
