The City of North Sioux City needed to provide sewer service for a new 250 acre development on the south edge of the community. The City contracted with Stockwell Engineers to provide design and construction administration services. Stockwell authored a facility plan which the City used to apply for financing through the State Revolving Fund program. The lift station is a triplex submersible station with a design pumping rate of approximately 1,375 gallons per minute. The design also included a control building with a segregated addition that allows the City to meter and transfer drinking water with the neighboring Dakota Dunes for additional redundancy.
